Living World
Pictures and spoken questions invite your child to choose a living thing, an animal's need, a home or a grown-up animal. Some rounds show a change after a prediction, then ask what happened. You can discuss the pictured examples together without needing to handle plants or animals.
Every game is free for every family until 20 November 2026. No card, no payment.
What it practises
- Distinguish pictured living and non-living examples
- Match animals with familiar needs and relationships
- Identify roots and leaves in plant-part questions
How the levels grow
- Seed Level 1
- Sprout Level 2
- Bloom Level 3
- Flourish Level 4
- Shine Level 5
Both age bands use the same scenario selection, and each level draws from its own bank. Level 1 includes living/non-living choices, animal needs, young-and-grown animal pairs and a fish's home. Level 2 moves to plant-change scenes, plant needs, another animal pair and a care choice. Level 3 includes further habitats, roots and leaves, and a caterpillar-change scene. Levels 4–5 reuse the level 3 bank. Five scenarios are selected at levels 1–3 and six at levels 4–5; the band does not supply a separate easier or harder bank.
Ages 2–4 play on the Pre-Nursery path and ages 4–6 on the Kindergarten path. Good play climbs a level; a hard day holds it, and a level earned is never taken away.
What you might notice
- Does your child explain which clue they used?
- After a change scene, can they say what was shown?
Try it at home
Draw a plant, dog and cup on one sheet. Talk about which are living and what the drawn plant or dog might need. Let your child add a water picture beside a living thing. Keep the discussion on drawings; no animal feeding or plant collecting is needed.
Not in this game: The game does not practise identifying real species or recording a complete life cycle.
