Curiosity Lab

Curiosity Lab practises asking what is shown and what might happen next. Hot & Cold Lab and Weather Watch use temperature and weather pictures. Living World explores plants and animals, while Five Senses links body parts with what they notice. Sink or Float includes pictured water tests. Gravity Drop offers older players scenes about support and movement. Some rounds ask for a prediction before an animation, then ask what happened.

Where to start

For ages 2–4, try Weather Watch for weather pictures, then Living World for living things and animal needs. For ages 4–6, begin with Sink or Float, then Gravity Drop for support and movement scenes. Sink or Float's level 2 includes guesses followed by pictured drops and observations.

Every game starts at Seed, level 1, and climbs to Shine. Good play climbs a level; a hard day holds it, and a level earned is never taken away.

Try it at home

Look from a safe indoor place at the weather, without looking straight at the sun. Draw a simple symbol together on scrap paper. Later, look again and add a second symbol. Discuss what you actually saw, even if both drawings show the same weather.
