Five Senses

Your child hears a short scene, such as a bell ringing or fresh bread, and taps one of two picture answers. Early questions ask which body part does the job; later ones ask which sense noticed something, or what to do to stay safe. If the first tap misses, a short spoken line explains and your child tries again.

How the levels grow

Seed Level 1

Both age bands get the same questions; the level decides which bank is used. Level 1 asks which body part does a job, such as eyes for a rainbow or ears for a bell. Level 2 asks which sense found something out: salty soup, a hidden kitten, rough sandpaper, a sour lemon, or glasses that help eyes. Level 3 covers two senses at once, finding flowers with eyes closed, a dark room, a mystery bag, and safe choices. Levels 4–5 reuse the level 3 bank. Levels 1–3 give five questions and levels 4–5 give six, each with two choices.

Ages 2–4 play on the Pre-Nursery path and ages 4–6 on the Kindergarten path. Good play climbs a level; a hard day holds it, and a level earned is never taken away.

What you might notice

Does your child point to their own eyes, ears or nose as they answer?
Do they slow down on the safety questions, such as berries found in the park?
Can they explain a choice with sense words like rough, sour or loud?

Try it at home

Put three large, safe things in a pillowcase: a sock, a wooden spoon and an orange. Your child feels one without looking and guesses what it is. Then smell the orange together and talk about which sense helped each time. Nothing from the bag goes in the mouth.

Not in this game: The game does not practise tasting or touching real things; every answer is a tap on a picture.
