Pencil Path

Pencil Path brings together tracing movements, ordered taps and connections between cards. In Trace It, your child follows a visible path with a finger or pointer. Dot to Dot asks for numbered points in order and draws the joining lines itself. Match Paths asks which cards belong together. Trace It keeps younger players on lines and shapes; older players trace capitals, numerals and small letters.

Play Pencil Path free Ages 2–6 All 3 games suit ages 2–4 and 4–6

Every game is free for every family until 20 November 2026. No card, no payment.

Where to start

For ages 2–4, begin with Trace It's across, down and sloping lines, then Match Paths for identical pictures. For ages 4–6, begin with Dot to Dot's numbered taps, then Trace It for capitals and numerals at level 1. Match Paths offers another option for connecting related cards.

Every game starts at Seed, level 1, and climbs to Shine. Good play climbs a level; a hard day holds it, and a level earned is never taken away.

The 3 games in Pencil Path

What these games practise

  • Follow a visible tracing path from its starting point
  • Trace letter and numeral forms in the older band
  • Tap numbered dots in consecutive order
  • Connect picture cards with partners that fit the round's rule

Try it at home

Draw a broad curved road on scrap paper. Invite your child to follow it with a finger while you sit beside them. They can then make their own road with an intact chunky crayon, or tell you where to draw. Keep marks optional and supervise younger children.

Not in these games: These games do not assess pencil grip or independent handwriting on paper.
