Memory Meadow

Memory Meadow practises remembering something your child has just seen or heard. Memory Match asks where matching picture cards are hidden. What's Missing? covers a picture or set and asks your child to recognise what was there. Listen & Remember gives older players animal names with matching pictures that light up, then asks for the same order. Each game uses a different kind of recall.

Where to start

For ages 2–4, try Memory Match with two pairs at level 1, then What's Missing? with two pictures and one hidden. For ages 4–6, start with Memory Match's four pairs at level 1, then Listen & Remember for short animal sequences with spoken names and lit pictures.

Every game starts at Seed, level 1, and climbs to Shine. Good play climbs a level; a hard day holds it, and a level earned is never taken away.

What these games practise

  • Recall where a previously revealed picture card is
  • Match two identical picture cards
  • Recognise a picture after it has been covered
  • Repeat an animal sequence using spoken and visual cues

Try it at home

Draw a cup and a spoon on a large sheet. Name both together, then cover one drawing with your hand while your child watches. Ask what is hidden and uncover it whenever they wish. Let them cover a drawing for you to name next.
