Number Match

Several plates show groups of matching pictures. Your child drags a number tile onto the plate with that many. In older-band comparison rounds, the tile says MORE and belongs on the fuller plate. Spoken instructions explain which job to do before your child places the tile.

Every game is free for every family until 20 November 2026. No card, no payment.

What it practises

  • Match a numeral to a pictured quantity
  • Compare two quantities in older-band rounds

How the levels grow

  1. Seed Level 1
  2. Sprout Level 2
  3. Bloom Level 3
  4. Flourish Level 4
  5. Shine Level 5

Ages 2–4 match numerals to groups throughout five rounds. Their maximum group sizes are three, four, five, five and six across levels 1–5. Ages 4–6 use maxima of six, eight, ten, eleven and twelve. At every older-band level, the first three rounds match a numeral to a group and the last two ask which of two plates has more. Matching rounds display three plates; comparison rounds display two. The band determines the task mix, while the level changes the quantity range.

Ages 2–4 play on the Pre-Nursery path and ages 4–6 on the Kindergarten path. Good play climbs a level; a hard day holds it, and a level earned is never taken away.

What you might notice

  • Does your child count before dragging the numeral?
  • When asked for more, do they inspect both plates?

Try it at home

Draw two groups of circles on one sheet, with two in one group and three in the other. Write 2 and 3 below. Count and point to the matching number together. An older child can also explain which group has more.

Not in this game: The game does not practise the written greater-than or less-than symbols.
