Shapes & Colors

A grid of coloured shapes appears while a spoken prompt tells your child what to find. Younger players choose by colour. Older players need both the named colour and shape to match. Your child taps one option, looking across the grid for the feature or pair of features requested.

How the levels grow

Ages 2–4 answer colour-only prompts at all five levels. Levels 1–3 show four choices; levels 4–5 show six. Ages 4–6 use combined colour-and-shape prompts throughout, with four, four, six, six and eight choices across levels 1–5. Both bands draw from circles, squares, triangles, stars and hearts in red, blue, green and yellow. The number of choices changes with the level; the shape and colour banks stay the same. Sessions contain five rounds.

Ages 2–4 play on the Pre-Nursery path and ages 4–6 on the Kindergarten path. Good play climbs a level; a hard day holds it, and a level earned is never taken away.

What you might notice

Does your child notice which feature the prompt names?
In the older band, do both colour and shape match?

Try it at home

Draw a red circle and blue circle on paper using crayons you already have. Invite your child to point to a named colour. Add a red square for an older child and ask for the red circle, naming both features together.

Not in this game: The game does not practise counting sides or naming three-dimensional solids.
