Do: My fact book. Choose a topic your child loves. Make a book with a contents page, three pages of facts with labelled pictures, and a glossary of two words.

Do: Say what you think. Choose a familiar story or family game. Ask what your child liked or would change. Help them write one short sentence giving their opinion. Name the story or game so another person knows which one they mean.

Do: A helpful journey. Pretend Sara needs a book or Ali needs to buy daal. Ask which place could help and trace a route there. Swap roles and let your child set a task. If you notice real places on a walk, keep your child beside you and manage every road crossing.

Do: Tell what changed. Draw before and after pictures of your pretend mishap. Your child describes what happened, who was affected and the repair they offered. Explain that someone may still feel upset after a repair. Choose where to place the cups safely next time.

Do: Direct two sounds together. Point to one sign to invite its musician to play. Show both signs to combine two gentle sounds while you speak a helper's line. Lower a sign to stop that part. Swap director and performer. Discuss whether quieter playing helped the words remain clear.
