Do: Name everywhere. Label their cup, their chair and their bed with their name. Point to it whenever you use them: 'Whose cup? It says Ali.'

Writing & pencil control

Do: Tweezer transfer. With an adult beside them, let your child try moving whole socks between bowls with the tongs. Help them avoid pinching fingers. Using their hands is fine too; choose the action they can manage comfortably.

You need: Kitchen tongs, whole socks and two unbreakable bowls

Do: Count and jump. Hold up fingers or a number card. Your child jumps, claps or hops that many times while you count together.

Science & our world

Do: Animal homes sort. Talk about where each animal finds food and shelter. A fish lives in water, a cow lives on land, and a garden bird may use trees and the ground. Explain that many birds make nests for eggs and chicks. One animal can use more than one place.
