1. Name puzzle

   You need: A strip of card, a marker, scissors

   Write their name in big letters (capital first letter, the rest small). Cut between the letters. Mix them up and build the name again, looking at the whole name on the fridge to check.

2. Letter hunt

   You need: An old newspaper or magazine, a crayon

   Find and circle the first letter of their name on a page of headlines. How many did you find? Count them.

3. Name everywhere

   You need: Paper and tape

   Label their cup, their chair and their bed with their name. Point to it whenever you use them: 'Whose cup? It says Ali.'
