Reading & talking
Do: Find or inside a word. Write for, fork and corn. Underline or, then say and read each word together, helping with the sounds around the group. Draw a fork and corn; use for in a spoken phrase such as 'a book for Sara'. Contrast the written groups in car and corn.

Do: Make choices clear. Read the names together. Add a small drawing beside each to help the reader choose. Ask your child to form one unclear letter again nearby if they wish. Keep the original writing; the menu does not need a fresh copy.

Do: How many blocks long? Line blocks along each object with no gaps. Count them. Which object was longest?
You need: Building blocks or dominoes, a shoe, a book, a spoon

Do: Another use. Check the box for sharp staples yourself. Ask what else it could hold. Let your child turn it into a home for crayons or paper drawings. Talk about how using the same box again avoids needing another one.

Thinking & feelings
Do: Choose for a job. Put a cloth inside one cup. Ask for a cup that is empty. Check both conditions together: it must be a cup and have nothing inside. Swap the cloth and choose again. Invite your child to explain why the answer changed.
You need: Two large unbreakable cups and a folded cloth

Moving & making
Do: Sound and service together. One person makes the opening sound while the other welcomes a customer. Practise asking for two drawn mangoes, finding them and packing them into a box. Give a spoken warning before the closing sound. Switch musician and shopkeeper roles so each person coordinates with the other's cue.
