Reading & talking
Do: Real or silly? Read words like boat, joat, feet, keet, rain, bain. Sort them. It proves your child is reading, not guessing.
You need: Word cards, two boxes marked 'real' and 'silly'
Talk: What other words rhyme with 'moon'?
We noticed:

Writing & pencil control
Do: Did the message work? Give the note to its reader. Ask them to say what they think it means before acting on it. If an object or place is unclear, choose one useful word to add or change together. Write a fresh copy only if your child wants to.
You need: The message and a willing reader at home

Do: Hands up. Count fingers five at a time: 5, 10, 15, 20. How many fingers in the family?

Science & our world
Do: Animal features. Draw a polar bear with thick fur and a fish with fins. Talk about how each feature helps in its habitat. Ask your child to point to the feature and finish 'This helps it to…'. You can write their explanation beside the drawing.
You need: Paper and crayons
Talk: What would happen to a fish in the desert?

Thinking & feelings
Do: Both clues matter. Draw a red cup, blue cup, red sock and blue sock. Ask for something red that is also a cup. Your child points and explains. Check each clue separately. Then let your child give you two clues.

Game (optional): Focus Farm
Moving & making
Do: An outdoor mirror. Face each other with comfortable space between you. One person slowly raises a hand or opens both arms; the other mirrors the shape. If you lift your right hand, your partner lifts their left, as a mirror would. Play seated or standing and swap leader after a few movements.
You need: A safe outdoor space
Talk: How can we move slowly enough for our partner to follow?

A possible rhythm: one or two strands a day, on the days that suit you. Swap days freely. Games are optional and never replace the home activity.
