Do: People who care for me. Draw your child in the middle of a page. Invite them to add people who care for them, such as Ammi, Abba, a grandparent or another carer. Ask about something they enjoy doing together. You can write the names they choose.

Sorting in Two Ways
Week 1 of about 2

Do: Choose a rule. Tear the paper yourself into large rough circles and squares, making both shapes in both colours. Let your child put things that belong together into groups. Ask what their rule is. If they need a start, suggest grouping by colour.

You need: Six to eight large paper shapes in two colours
