A No-Cook Recipe Card
Revisit, or choose your next unit

Do: Let the card guide us. With an adult beside your child, read each step and prepare the chosen snack, or act it out using drawings. Check the ingredients and amounts before starting. Ask the reader whether any detail is missing, then improve one part together. Tasting is optional.

You need: The card; optional prepared ingredients, unbreakable bowl, spoon and fork

Talk: What could we add to make this clearer?

We noticed:

Game (optional): Story Steps

Numbers & shapes

Volume and Picture Graphs
Week 1 of about 3

Do: Cupful count. Stay within reach as your child fills each container over the tray using the same cup filled to the same level each time. Count full cupfuls and notice any final partial cupful. Compare the results. Wipe spills and empty the water afterwards.

You need: Unbreakable containers, one small measuring cup, a shallow tray and a little water

Talk: Which container holds more? How do you know?

We noticed:

Game (optional): Size Safari

Science & our world

Messages Then and Now
Revisit, or choose your next unit

Do: The letter's helper. Draw a pretend letter with no address. Add a postal worker carrying it to its destination. Describe how this helper moves messages between people. Ask whether the remembered journey involved a letter; if not, keep this as a separate example rather than changing the memory.

You need: Paper and a pencil

Talk: Does one memory tell us about every family?

We noticed:

Game (optional): Helper Heroes

Thinking & feelings

Pause and Return to a Small Job
Revisit, or choose your next unit

Do: Return with help. When your child wants to return, use the marker to find the next part. Finish together, reduce the job or leave it for another day. Discuss whether the marker helped. Keep the aim on finding a next step, not working for longer.

You need: The marked sheet and a crayon

Talk: What help would make returning easier?

We noticed:

Game (optional): Focus Farm

Moving & making

Tell a Scene Without Words
Revisit, or choose your next unit

Do: Change one clue. Repeat the scene, changing one gesture to suggest another possible feeling or event. Pause briefly, then relax. Your partner describes what changed. Swap performer and observer, or direct each other's seated hand movements. No audience or correct guess is required.

You need: The same comfortable space

Talk: What changed when you moved your hands differently?

We noticed:

Game (optional): Feelings Friends

A possible rhythm: one or two strands a day, on the days that suit you. Swap days freely. Games are optional and never replace the home activity.
