Rhyme Time

A picture and word give your child a starting word, and the voice names the choices. Your child listens for a matching ending and taps a picture. Printed words sit beneath the pictures too. You can listen together without asking your child to read every word independently.

Every game is free for every family until 20 November 2026. No card, no payment.

What it practises

  • Listen for matching endings in spoken words
  • Choose a rhyming word from different alternatives

How the levels grow

  1. Seed Level 1
  2. Sprout Level 2
  3. Bloom Level 3
  4. Flourish Level 4
  5. Shine Level 5

Rhyme Time is available for ages 4–6. Levels 1 and 2 show three choices: one rhyme and two words from other families. Levels 3 and 4 show four choices, and level 5 shows five. All five levels use the same bank of word families, including cat, cake and moon. The number of alternatives changes; the game does not introduce a new word bank at each level. Each session has five rounds.

This game is on the Kindergarten path, for ages 4–6. Good play climbs a level; a hard day holds it, and a level earned is never taken away.

What you might notice

  • Does your child repeat the endings before choosing?
  • Do they choose by sound or by the picture's meaning?

Try it at home

Draw a cat and a hat on scrap paper. Say both words naturally and listen to their endings. Add a drawing of a cup and ask which two names rhyme. Let your child point, repeat the words or simply listen with you.

Not in this game: The game does not practise composing poems or spelling rhyming words.
