Rhyme Families
Your child sees groups marked by a familiar picture and word. Each loose picture belongs with a word that rhymes with its name. Picking up a picture says its word aloud. Your child drags it into a group, listening to the endings as the pictures gather together.
Every game is free for every family until 20 November 2026. No card, no payment.
What it practises
- Group spoken words by their rhyming endings
- Compare a picture's name with a group's anchor word
How the levels grow
- Seed Level 1
- Sprout Level 2
- Bloom Level 3
- Flourish Level 4
- Shine Level 5
Both age bands use the same five-level sorting rules. Level 1 has two groups; levels 2–5 have three. The first two levels draw from the starter families. From level 3, more families become available, including bell and fish. Each group offers up to two loose pictures until level 5, when it offers up to three if its bank has enough. Levels 1–3 have two rounds; levels 4–5 have three.
Ages 2–4 play on the Pre-Nursery path and ages 4–6 on the Kindergarten path. Good play climbs a level; a hard day holds it, and a level earned is never taken away.
What you might notice
- Does your child say the picture name before placing it?
- Can they compare it with the word naming the group?
Try it at home
Draw a cat and a dog apart on a large sheet. Add separate drawings of a hat and a log elsewhere on the same page. Say each pair naturally and invite your child to point from a picture to its rhyming partner.
Not in this game: The game does not practise a complete set of spelling patterns for rhymes.
