Reading & talking
Do: Back to our picture. Turn to another page briefly, then ask about one familiar thing from the first picture. Turn back straight away to look together. Name it again and recall its action. Another look is always allowed; there is no need to answer from memory alone.
You need: The same book or drawings

Writing & pencil control
Do: Choose where to stop. Point to a nearby finishing place on the surface. Make a short water path towards it and pause. Your child may choose a different end or direct you. Finish before arms tire. Dry any drips and put the cloth and water away yourself.
You need: The damp towel and surface

Numbers & shapes
Do: Circle hunt. Find flat circular faces together, such as the face of a clock or an unbreakable plate. Trace a circle in the air. Compare a ball: it is round too, but it is a solid object, not a flat circle.
You need: The house

Science & our world
Do: Find the familiar pair. Put the four drawings face up. Help your child find two that show the same thing. Name a home space where you use each object. If they want another turn, cover one picture with your hand, then reveal it together; there is no memory test to pass.
You need: Two large drawings of a cup and two of a book
Talk: Where do we like to read together?

Thinking & feelings
Do: You hide it for me. Offer your child a turn to cover the toy while you watch. Ask them to show you where it is, then reveal it together. Keep the towel on the toy only. Finish by putting both away; no longer wait or harder hiding place is needed.

Moving & making
Do: A sound for serving. Pretend you are serving lunch to Ammi or another carer. Let your child choose a soft spoon sound to announce that lunch is ready. Practise offering the empty bowl with two hands, then wiping the clear table with the dry towel. Swap cook and visitor roles.
You need: The empty bowl, large spoon and towel
