Reading & talking

Letters in My Name
Week 1 of about 3

Do: Name puzzle. An adult writes your child's name, with its usual capital and small letters, on a whole model card and on separate large letter cards. Mix the separate cards and rebuild the name together using the model. Adults do any cutting and clear away scraps.

You need: A strip of card, a marker, scissors

Talk: What letter does your name start with?

We noticed:

Game (optional): Letter Pop

You need: Paper with large lines and curves drawn by an adult

Talk: Can you draw a line from the top to the bottom?

You need: Whole socks and large spoons

Talk: Which one does not belong? Why?

We noticed:

Game (optional): Pattern Parade
