Science & our world
Do: Seeds in a cup. An adult places the seeds between the cup and damp paper so they can be seen. Put the cup where an adult controls access. Look together each day and draw what changes. Keep seeds and growing material out of mouths, wash hands after handling, and let an adult discard anything mouldy.
You need: A clear unbreakable cup, damp kitchen paper and a few seeds handled by an adult
Talk: What does a plant need to grow?

Thinking & feelings
Do: A page of kind moments. Draw or describe one kind thing someone did today. Ask how it may have felt to give or receive that help. Let your child add a mark or picture. Keep it as a shared memory, without counting kind acts for a prize.

Moving & making
Do: Three picture moments. Together draw three moments: Sara packs a picnic, travels to the garden and rests there. Let your child change the story. Put the pictures in order and choose a movement for each, such as folding hands, moving arms and stretching gently.
You need: Paper and crayons
Talk: What happens first in our story?
