Do: A new spelling for an ending. Write rain and day. Read together, pointing to ai and ay. Listen for the shared vowel sound. Add say, blend it and compare day with say: their endings rhyme. Let your child say a short phrase using one of the words.

Do: Is it alive? Make two lists: living and not living. A tree, a stone, a cat, a car, a flower, a cloud. Talk about the hard ones.
You need: A walk outside, a notebook

Do: Check the agreement. Begin your agreed picture together. Pause and ask whether the plan is working for both people. If space runs short, listen again and adjust the drawing or add scrap paper. End by naming one thing each person helped decide.

Moving & making
Do: Beginning, change, ending. Draw three scenes for an original story: Sara starts a pretend garden, wind scatters her paper leaves, and a friend helps gather them. Your child may invent a different story. Decide what happens in each part and how the characters might feel.
