Reading & talking
Do: Hear the ending. Write moon and soon. Read them together and hear their matching endings. Try book and look next, using your own accent. Let your child choose a pair and say it to someone at home. You write the words as they point to oo.

Do: Leave room for an answer. Read the question together. Your child adds a small empty box underneath for an answer picture. If they want another question, help them write one on a new line. Keep both questions short enough to say comfortably.

Do: My day in pictures. Draw an activity from each part of your own day: morning, afternoon, evening and night. Put the pictures in order and name the parts of the day together. Your family's activities and times may differ from another family's.

Science & our world
Do: A shared space. Draw a pretend park with a wrapper on the path and a plant beside it. Discuss what might help. Explain that an adult handles unknown rubbish, sharp items and dirty waste. Choose a safe job at home, such as putting your own clean scrap paper in its agreed place.

Thinking & feelings
Do: Practise changing the plan. Pretend a game has become frustrating. Ask which picture might help. Try the choice together, then ask whether to continue, change it or stop. Keep the plan nearby. Your child can still need company even after trying an idea.

Moving & making
Do: Sound and service together. One person makes the opening sound while the other welcomes a customer. Practise asking for two drawn mangoes, finding them and packing them into a box. Give a spoken warning before the closing sound. Switch musician and shopkeeper roles so each person coordinates with the other's cue.

A possible rhythm: one or two strands a day, on the days that suit you. Swap days freely. Games are optional and never replace the home activity.
