Reading & talking

Writing & pencil control

Thinking & feelings
Do: Choose your reminder. Together plan a pretend picnic with a mat, mango and water. Your child chooses a spoken link or quick drawing to remember them. Later, recall the three things together and check. Ask what helped and what they would choose next time.
You need: Paper and crayons
Talk: Would you use the same idea next time?
We noticed:
Game (optional): Memory Match
Moving & making
Do: Print together in layers. Make your first planned shapes with prints or outlines. Let paint dry before adding another layer that crosses or overlaps a mark. Take turns describing where the next shape should go. Compare the result with the plan and agree one change if useful.
You need: The plan, tools and optional washable paint or crayons
Talk: Where will your next mark overlap mine?
We noticed:
Game (optional): Shape Builder
