Reading & talking
Do: Sound of the week wall. Write the sound of the week (say 'ee') at the top. Every time you find an ee word in a book or on a sign, write it on the wall.
You need: A big sheet of paper

Do: Caption the photo. Your child writes one sentence under it: 'We went to the park.'

Numbers & shapes
Do: Spread out one share. Make two equal shares of six. Spread one share out and bunch the other together. Ask whether both still contain the same number. Pair or count to check, then let your child arrange another equal share for you to inspect.
You need: Six large paper squares and the two plates

Science & our world
Do: What is it made of? Name the materials together: wood, metal, plastic and cloth. Let your child describe how the safe objects feel. Look at glass only where an adult has placed it securely; do not handle or tap it.
You need: An adult-selected wooden spoon, metal spoon, unbreakable cup and cloth
Talk: Which material would you use for a raincoat? Why?

Do: Tell the builder. Ask your child to draw the first bridge and the changed bridge. Let them explain what helped. You follow their instructions to build another one, asking for clarification if needed. They can revise the plan again.

Moving & making
Do: Add the next row. Add a second crossing strip beside the first. Begin under the first base strip, then over, then under. Slide the rows close together gently while you hold the base pieces. Notice how changing the starting position changes the visible pattern.
You need: The same strips and another wide paper strip
