Push and Pull
Goal: Say whether things move by a push or a pull, and see how to make them go faster, slower or stop.
For parents: Forces are everywhere in play. Every time your child kicks a ball or opens a drawer, ask: push or pull?

You need: The houseOpen doors, drawers, the fridge, a zip. Is it a push or a pull? Make a two-column list with pictures.

Car ramp
You need: A toy car, a board or tray, booksMake a ramp. Add a book to make it steeper — does the car go further? Try it on a carpet and on a smooth floor.

Drop test
You need: A ball, a feather or tissue, a spoonDrop them from the same height at the same time. Which lands first? What pulls them down?
